Dickinson Police Capt. Joe Cianni said Friday that law enforcement agencies are investigating a construction site in north Dickinson where excavation crews unearthed the remains of a partial human skeleton and clothing on Thursday evening.

Police tape blocked off the construction area at the corner of 40th Street East and Fourth Avenue East on Friday as law enforcement exhumed the area.

The area is directly east of the Integrated Production Services and Halliburton campuses on 40th Street and north of Lincoln Meadows Apartments. The area is part of an industrial park.

In a statement to the media, Cianni said the police "will not be entertaining or answering any specific questions at this time."

Many on social media are speculating that the remains are that of Eric Haider, a Bismarck man who disappeared off a job site not far from where Thursday’s discovery was made.

Haider disappeared May 24, 2012, and has never been found.

He was 30 years old at the time of his disappearance and was working for Bismarck-based Cofell’s Plumbing and Heating east of the Baker Hughes building -- about a half-mile to the southwest of where the remains were found.
